House in Cerro Chapelco — San Martín de los Andes
Contemporary residential project developed for a mountain setting in Argentine Patagonia. The proposal seeks to integrate architecture, landscape, and local materiality through a low, horizontal volume, large views toward the lake and mountains, and the combined use of timber, stone, and exposed concrete.
The design responds to the natural character of Cerro Chapelco, prioritizing a respectful implantation on the hillside, openness toward the landscape, and a warm, serene, and tectonic interior atmosphere. The material strategy considers the local context, where timber and stone play a key role in connecting the architecture with its Patagonian setting.
