Remote Bases for Oil & Gas Operations — Bandurria, Vaca Muerta
Neuquén, Argentina
Client: Pan American Energy
Architecture & Project Management: Fernando Pérez Kaparunakis
Development of modular and transportable facilities for remote Oil & Gas operations in Bandurria, within the Vaca Muerta region in Neuquén, Argentina. The project responds to the operational and logistical challenges of building in isolated areas, where distance from urban centers, limited access to services and harsh site conditions make conventional construction difficult.
The proposal was based on modular construction systems, allowing faster deployment, controlled execution and future adaptability. The facilities support field operations through technical, administrative and service infrastructure, organized within a functional layout designed for accessibility, safety and operational efficiency.
The project reflects a practical approach to remote industrial architecture: lightweight, transportable, efficient and capable of supporting demanding energy operations in complex territorial conditions.
